Hey, I’ve been looking into Z-Library as a way to access more books for my reading list, but I’m a bit concerned about the site’s legitimacy. Is it really legal to download books from there? I know it’s popular, but I’ve heard mixed things. Anyone have any experience with this?

I totally get your concern! z-library books operates in a gray area when it comes to legality. Technically, the site provides access to copyrighted books without the authorization of publishers or authors, which is illegal in some countries. However, many users still use it because it offers a massive library of resources, especially for academic purposes. If you're just downloading books for personal reading, the risks are relatively low, but there are still potential legal issues if copyright holders decide to take action. It’s also worth noting that downloading pirated content could be a violation of laws in certain regions. For safety, I always recommend using a VPN and making sure your antivirus software is up-to-date when accessing sites like this.

Thanks for the clarification! I had no idea it was so legally complicated. I think I’ll be more cautious and use a VPN like you suggested. It’s good to know that the risk isn’t too high if you’re just reading for personal use, but I’ll definitely stay aware of the legal aspects. Appreciate the info!
